BBYO Giving Circle
For over 80 years, BBYO has empowered Jewish teens to lead with purpose—and this March, they showed just how powerful that leadership can be.
On March 27, the Jewish Foundation welcomed the BBYO Connecticut Valley Region to the JCC for a transformative Giving Circle experience. Teens explored philanthropy firsthand: learning about urgent community needs, evaluating local nonprofits, and making real decisions about charitable giving.
After hearing impactful presentations from:
🍽️ Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen (DESK)
🏠 Youth Continuum
🤝 The JCC of Greater New Haven
🏡 The Towers at Tower Lane
They asked hard questions, weighed real-world trade-offs, and collaborated to allocate $8,000 in grant funds:
💵 DESK – $3,500
💵 Youth Continuum – $2,500
💵 JCC – $1,000
💵 The Towers – $1,000
These teens didn’t just learn about tzedakah and kehillah—they lived it. 💙
We are so proud to support this next generation of changemakers. Here’s to many more evenings of impact and inspiration!
