Talmud Torah Meyuchad Application

The Talmud Torah Meyuchad grant provides supplemental financial assistance to religious school programs serving children with individualized learning and special needs. The grant is designed to serve as the community’s contribution toward supporting these services and is to be part of a total financial and service support system partnership among schools, synagogues, parents/families and the community. The grant is to be used to partially support the added services, staffing or materials that will enhance student’s ability to benefit from the religious school program.
Criteria
Children appropriate for these grants are those who meet all of the following criteria:
• In grades K through 12, or ages 5 to 18 (approx.)
• Are enrolled in a supplementary religious school program or who would be enrolled if special services were available.
• Children who have an IEP (Individual Educational Plan or Section 504 Plan) in their school setting(i.e.: those children with moderate to severe needs for whom an intervention such as an aide, tutor, or interpreter will enable the child to benefit from the religious school program.)
