Over the past week, Israel suffered from over 600 wildfires which injured 180 people and burned over 500 homes. Nearly 100,000 Israelis have been evacuated; in Haifa, hundreds of apartments were destroyed, leaving more than 1,000 people without homes. Israel’s Nature and Parks Authority reported that more than 4,900 acres of forests, brush land, and open space were burnt. In many places, essential services such as electricity are not working .
