Jewish Overnight Camp Aid
Jewish Overnight Summer Camp
Needs-Based Scholarships
The Jewish Foundation of Greater New Haven awards scholarships to enable young people to participate in recognized Jewish summer overnight camp. Scholarships are awarded to Greater New Haven area residents on the basis of financial need.
There is one application per family. All information will be treated with the strictest confidentiality. The Camp Scholarship Committee receives applications that are stripped of personal identity information so the applications can be considered anonymously. Only those applicants who fully comply with all of the instructions can be assured that their application will be reviewed by the Committee. Note that applicants will be required to upload a copy of the first two pages from the parents signed 2024 Federal Income Tax Return as well as a financial aid letter from the camp which the applicant(s) will be attending.
If your child is a first-time camper, please also apply for the Jewish Foundation of Greater New Haven One Happy Camper Incentive Grant here.
The scholarship process is administered by the Jewish Foundation of Greater New Haven camp scholarship committee. Please direct questions to Beth Kupcho, Director of Grants and Scholarships at: 203-266-4079 or [email protected].
First Time Campers
Needs-Blind Grants
In partnership with One Happy Camper®, The Jewish Foundation of Greater New Haven is proud to offer needs-blind aid to all first-time campers. One Happy Camper® is a need-blind incentive grant program from the Foundation for Jewish Camp (FJC), working alongside local Jewish organizations across North America. Our partners, including Jewish federations, foundations, individual camps, Small Community Incentives, and PJ Library, sponsor One Happy Camper® grants to help families find the perfect camp for their child. With over 150 traditional and specialty overnight camps to choose from, there is a perfect camp out there for every child.
Please Note: If your child is a first-time camper, AND you also need financial assistance, applicants can apply in both places.
