One In Nine By Your Side- No Woman Faces Breast Cancer Alone is Israel’s only organization dedicated exclusively to breast cancer. They raise public awareness about the disease and the importance of early detection, and provide comprehensive emotional, social, and practical support for women diagnosed with breast cancer and their families. For over 30 years, they have combined expertise, empathy, and evidence-based approaches to ensure every woman receives the guidance and care she needs.

In Northern Israel, women diagnosed with breast cancer face not only illness but solation—especially in communities disrupted by the events of October 7th. This pilot offers structured support groups and a peer mentorship program (“By Your Side”), connecting diagnosed women with trained survivors to provide guidance, hope, and resilience.

ASLI’s Male Leadership in the Community program brings together respected men in communities across Israel and equips them with the knowledge and tools to recognize gender-based violence, serve as positive role models, and inspire other men to take an active role in creating safer environments for women and girls. The initiative is based on ASLI’s extensive community and national-level work engaging men as allies in violence prevention.

Dr. Ido Rosenzweig brings a unique background in international law, diplomacy, and social entrepreneurship to his leadership of ASLI. During this conversation, attendees will learn about the organization’s innovative approach to cultural change, the importance of male allyship, and how communities can work together to prevent violence against women.
