The Nadel Family Created a Legacy for Camp Laurelwood
“Camp Laurelwood is, of course, a fun place to spend a summer. It has all the fun summertime things, with a bunch of happy kids living and playing together and having the time of their lives. That alone has been a great reason to send my kids to Laurelwood summer after summer (Dayenu!).
However, Camp Laurelwood is more than just a happy place to spend a few summers. It is a place where kids feel a sense of belonging, of kinship, and of pride in their heritage. It is a place where they make lifelong Jewish friends, learn to love Shabbat, and live their Jewish values. It is a place where they can be their authentic selves in a warm, embracing community. The impact of Camp Laurelwood lasts far beyond Summer Hill Road. Generations of Jewish kids have been transformed by the magic of Camp Laurelwood, and I want that to continue for generations to come. That is why I don’t just send my kids there for the summers, but why I am also proud to support Laurelwood through annual giving and through the Legacy program.” —Ali Nadel
