About the Speaker:

Jack Wertheimer is Professor Emeritus at the Jewish Theological Seminary where he served for a decade as Provost, the chief academic officer. He has written or edited 18 books, mainly about aspects of Jewish religious, communal and educational developments since World War II. Two of his books received National Jewish Book Awards, including most recently, The New American Judaism: How Jews Practice Their Religion Today. He has published numerous articles in The Wall Street Journal, The Times of Israel, Commentary Magazine, Mosaic, Tablet and Moment Magazine.
